Radiation Oncologist
Loan Tran, M.D. is a board-certified radiation oncologist and the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Dr. Tran received her Bachelor of Science in bioengineering from the University of California in Berkeley, California and her medical doctorate from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital and her radiation oncology residency at the UCSF Department of Radiation Oncology, both in San Francisco, California.
She completed fellowship training in brachytherapy in France and has many years of experience at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame, California, El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, and Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California. Dr. Tran has extensive knowledge in the field of radiation oncology and is a great asset to the cancer patients in our community.
Dr. Tran is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). She is fluent in English and Vietnamese and can speak some Spanish and French. In her free time, she enjoys biking, yoga, and traveling with her four children.
