San Francisco CyberKnife Open House
San Francisco CyberKnife recently had an open house to welcome physicians, hospital staff, and community members to the newly opened center. The event was a huge success and over 130 people were in attendance to help celebrate!
Physicians from the San Francisco community, staff from Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and the partnering radiation oncology departments at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Sequoia Hospital, and members of Alliance Oncology’s leadership team were on hand to help commemorate the opening.
The open house kicked off with an informational session about spine and brain treatments that was led by radiation oncologist and San Francisco CyberKnife’s Medical Director, Dr. Alexander Geng.
Following the informational session, guests were ushered to the newly designed treatment area to see live robotic demonstrations from San Francisco CyberKnife physicist, Dr. Miroslav Nikolic, in the San Francisco CyberKnife vault.
Guests enjoyed an array of appetizers and wine as they mixed and mingled with program staff and the seven program radiation oncologists, Dr. Alexander Geng, Dr. John Meyer, Dr. Sara Huang, Dr. Barry Chauser, Dr. Meiwen Wu, Dr. Lisa Boohar and Dr. Dale Young.
The open house concluded with gracious remarks from Dr. John Meyer and Dr. Alexander Geng, who offered a sentiment of thanks to the leadership team involved in the center opening.
